Because of “OCU” the events of 1054 may repeat

According to Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary, chancellor of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC MP) further recognizing of OCU – the structure created by Phanar – may cause a split in Local Orthodox Churches, similar to the events of 1054, when the Roman church separated from the Eastern Orthodox Church*. Further recognition of OCU will have consequences not only for Ukraine and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, but also for world Orthodoxy.

“Unfortunately, the events of 1054 may be repeated,” said the Metropolitan . “And on the two different sides of the barricade there will be the Churches, faithful to Orthodoxy, and structures that will agree to be part of an organization simulating Orthodoxy.”

According to Metropolitan Anthony, the forgery of the Orthodox Church that is being created will be built not on a Church basis, but on secular principles. “We are talking about a new system, where the center will be not God, canons and sobornost, but ambitions, directives and papal format of ruling”.

*The Roman Catholic (Western) church separated from the True Church in the year 1054 after changing the Creed and wrongly claiming supremacy of the Bishop of Rome (Pope) over the other bishops. Drifting further from its origin, the Western church was then shattered into a myriad of sects by the Protestant Reformation. However, in Greece, Russia, the Balkans, Middle East, and elsewhere, the True Apostolic Church continued to flourish, preserving the Faith of Christ pure and unchanged. Today this Church is known as the Eastern or Orthodox Church and it is a haven for those seeking Christ’s truth.
